Position Summary: In this role you will operate wire drawing equipment. Wire drawing is a metalworking process used to reduce the cross-section of a wire by pulling the wire through a single, or series of, drawing die(s) to meet customer specifications. - Draw round, shaped wire in various alloys meeting product specifications
- Set up, operate bull block, 8 strand and 10 strand wire drawing equipment
- Operate batch, strand annealing furnaces
- Follow documented procedures and process routers for various alloys
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed
- Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a rigorous background check
- Previous production experience preferred
- Frequent lifting of between 10 lbs. and 70 lbs.
- Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Standing for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day
- Fast-paced environment: subject to priority changes and short-notice activity
