Reports to: Program Instructors, Program Coordinator and Wings for L.I.F.E. Executive Director
Purpose: Assists program teachers with running programs at schools. Works with children in groups and one on one to help them follow directions, participate, complete crafts and activities and follow program rules.
Hours: Two hours per day at assigned schools. Minimum of 3 days (six hours) per week; maximum of 5 days (10 hours) per week.
Exact time of program classes will depend on school schedule and day of week. Generally on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays the program is held from 3:00-4:15pm with staff expected to be at school from 2:30-4:30pm. On Wednesdays (early release day) the program is held from 1:45-3:00pm with staff expected to be at school from 1:15-3:15pm.
Commitment: Assistants are expected to work the program from August through May (entire school year). Attendance at quarterly staff meetings will take place one time per quarter while school is in session. Dates and times of staff meetings will be announced at least one week in advance.
Wages: $30 per day worked. Executive director will determine additional pay for staff meetings, outside meetings and trainings.
