The Wind Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical design aspects of Intersect Power’s Wind Farms. This role will also be responsible for working with the development team on budget and schedule forecasts, and orchestrating the contractual obligations to meet deadlines and deliverable requirements for our EPC contractor and Turbine Supplier. Additionally, our Wind Project Engineer will manage the inputs to those designs from various equipment suppliers, oversee our EPC delivery requirements, and manage external consultants related to the Design Management of the Wind Farms. This position will report directly to our Head of Wind Engineering and work closely with different teams at Intersect Power, including Wind Resource Assessment, Development Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, Development, Finance, etc. They will have interactions with our EPC contractors, wind turbine suppliers, owners engineers, etc.
The Engineering team is composed of various Subject Matter Experts who are responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the design aspects for all technologies which currently comprise of PV, Wind, BESS, DTC and HV. The Engineering department closely collaborates cross-functionally and at every level throughout the organization from Greenfield development through Construction and into Operations.

related to Wind Project Design activities for the entire lifecycle of the wind farm design
on layout interfaces as relates to BoP capex evaluations and optimizations, and managing the alignment of any design related activities and modeling with the relevant turbine array and turbine technology
by maintaining project site plans, inclusive of wind turbine layout, preliminary electrical collection cable and access road siting, and other balance of plant considerations
, especially as relates to design exposure and associated mitigations
, especially as relates to grid compliance requirements, EPC schedule requirements, any constraints that may hinder the project related to capex, yield, schedule, etc
and affiliated technical and market trends. Work with wind turbine Original Equipment Manufacturers to optimize equipment selection for projects as it relates to power curves, operational modes, mechanical suitability considerations, and curtailment strategies
with subject matter expert coordination during construction and commissioning phases
between equipment suppliers, installation crews, and Intersect’s Permitting and Land teams. This will include site visits to inspect viability of locations.
