Main Purpose: The Wind Division Service Manager serves as the central hub for technician support, client communication, and operational execution across renewable energy service projects. This role ensures seamless coordination between field teams, internal departments, and external clients to deliver high-quality service outcomes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and field teams, ensuring expectations are clearly understood and met.
- Provide on-site technical and operational support during project kick-offs and throughout service delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients through consistent communication and issue resolution.
- Oversee daily technician assignments, ensuring optimal resource allocation and timely dispatch.
- Provide real-time support to field technicians, resolving operational challenges and ensuring safety compliance.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new technicians and contractors.
- Lead project kick-off meetings and coordinate logistics, including travel and site readiness.
- Collaborate with Recruiting, HR, Training, and Travel departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and troubleshoot administrative or operational issues as needed.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date master data in onboarding and tracking systems.
- Verify contractor certifications and maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Communicate company policies and updates to field teams and contractors.
- Minimum 5 years of wind turbine field experience.
- Proven ability to manage field operations and dispatch technicians effectively.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in client-facing scenarios.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed to client sites.
