About This Job

The Wellbore Construction Services Sales Manager at Weatherford leads the sales strategy and execution for Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD), Tubular Running Services (TRS), and Drilling Services product lines. This dynamic leadership role oversees a team of sales representatives while driving revenue growth, managing the sales pipeline, and enhancing customer engagement across North America Offshore, Gulf of America, including Canadian and Caribbean markets. The position requires approximately 25% global travel and combines product expertise with strategic sales leadership to deliver exceptional value to Weatherford clients.


Key Responsibilities


Sales Leadership & Management

- Lead and develop a team of Product sales representatives to achieve and exceed revenue targets

- Create and implement comprehensive sales strategies for MPD, TRS, and Drilling Services product lines

- Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring consistent pipeline growth

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations

- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify new sales opportunities


Revenue & Business Development

- Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize revenue potential from existing and new clients

- Set and achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for the Wellbore Construction Services portfolio

- Analyze sales performance data and adjust strategies to optimize results

- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across Weatherford's product and service lines

- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling value propositions and sales materials


Customer Engagement

- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients through regular engagement and exceptional service

- Conduct clients need assessments to identify appropriate Weatherford solutions

- Represent Weatherford at industry events, trade shows, and conferences

- Organize and deliver product-specific presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients

- Gather and communicate customer feedback to product development and operations teams


Pipeline Management

- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports using Salesforce (SFDC) and other CRM tools

- Conduct regular pipeline reviews with the sales team to ensure progress toward targets

- Develop strategies to address pipeline gaps and accelerate deal closure

- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth handover of sold projects


Product Knowledge

- Leverage deep product knowledge of MPD, TRS, and Drilling Services to provide consultative sales support

- Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices

- Provide guidance to the sales team on complex applications and solutions

- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to address client-specific requirements


Qualifications


Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field

- Have 4 years of sales experience in one or more of the following product lines: Tubular Running Services (TRS), Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD), or Drilling Services

- Have 2 plus years of leadership experience managing sales teams

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the oil and gas industry

- Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce and XAIT-Porter


Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of wellbore construction, drilling operations, and related technologies

- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills

- Strategic thinking and business acumen with ability to analyze market trends

- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at executive levels

- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop sales talent

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Proficiency with sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM tools


Travel Requirements

This position requires approximately 25% travel, primarily within North America Offshore, Gulf of America, Canadian, and Caribbean regions, to visit client sites, attend industry events, and support the regional sales team.
