Job Summary: This 2nd shift position is concerned with the direction and coordination of Fabrication Department activities; manufacturing of shippable product and tooling, to assure compliance with contractual requirements and company objectives.
Requirements:
•Must be able to work on first (1st) shift for approximately 4 weeks for training, before switching to your permanent shift, 12am-7am schedule.
•Hire, train, and develop personnel within the department.
•Maintain a highly competent staff with the technical capabilities to carryout the responsibilities assigned to the department.
•Performing calculations for torqueing and rolling.
•Oversee the weld department.
•Perform development activities relative to qualifying new weld procedures, as necessary.
•Responsible for installing, rolling, locking, expanding various tubes in condensers.
•Ensure effective utilization of department equipment, manpower and floor space.
•Good communications skills - ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
•Other duties as assigned.
Other Skills & Abilities:
•Must be able to read drawings.
•Must be detail oriented and able to follow written instructions.
•Must be able to read and comprehend lengthy technical procedures.
•Demonstrate strong math skills and basic layout for assembly and disassembly of condensers and heat exchangers.
•Basic computer skills required. Must have a working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Education: High School Diploma and/or technical training. Experience in large fabrication or assembly highly preferred.
Experience: 3-4 years of supervisory experience with a strong mechanical background for assembly of various components.
US citizenship is required at time of hire.
