We are currently seeking a Welder for our Williston, ND location.

PURPOSE:

Designs, fabricates, joins, and repairs equipment, fixtures, and structures by using various welding techniques.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

- Plans and performs welding assignments to include fabrication, maintenance, joining, and cutting of ferrous and nonferrous metal parts and structures using a variety of techniques

- Analyzes plans, drawings, work samples, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of welding assignments; performs a variety of welding processes such as gas, arc, brazing, silver soldering, soft soldering and the like on a limited variety of materials such as stainless, aluminum, steel, copper, brass, exotics, etc

- Performs layout operation, develops fixtures on one-of-a-kind units, and selects optimum welding processes; operates drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes, and other welder equipment and hand tools

- Monitors and report inventory levels; recommends supplies and materials to be ordered

- May perform related work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling notching template making

- Performs MIG, TIF, and Stick welding as well as Brazing (Carbide welding) and plasma cutting

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent

Work Experience: 0-2 years

Related Experience:

- May have experience in lieu of education or any equivalent combination of education and experience

- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate's Degree

Degree Field (s): Welding

Work Experience: 2-4 years

Related Experience:

- Previous carbide experience

- Previous carbide experience

- Working knowledge of welding techniques

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Precise hand/eye coordination: Constantly

Basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions: Frequently

Operation of heavy equipment or operation of vehicles: Occasionally

Lifting/pushing objects weighing over: 50 lbs: Frequently

Climbing and working in awkward and cramped positions: Frequently
