Weekend Welding Supervisor - 3-Day Work Week, Full-Time Pay!

Weekend Welding Supervisorto oversee our fabrication department on a unique
Friday-Saturday-Sunday shift. You'll work
three 12-hour shifts, enjoy a
shift differential, and get
paid for 40 hours-plus excellent benefits.
As the Weekend Welding Supervisor, you'll be the go-to leader ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on the shop floor. You'll collaborate with the weekday team on Fridays, then take the reins to run the shift independently on Saturdays and Sundays.

- Perform quality checks and oversee welding equipment
- Handle scheduling, reports, and day-to-day personnel needs
- Serve as the
primary authority figureduring all weekend operations
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Safety
- Maintain safe working conditions for all employees and prioritize safety over deadlines.
- Oversee employee's safety both in and out of department to ensure safe methods are used to do tasks
- Interpret, communicate, and enforce company policies and safety regulations with employees
- Ensure equipment is not defective or unsafe and is responsible for coordinating with maintenance and management to resolve problems
- Team with HR/Safety to help train employees on safety policies and procedures
- Ensure products are correctly fabricated and of quality workmanship prior to delivery
- Train and coach employees of all different experience levels in work methods and procedures.
- Inspect products to verify conformance to project drawings and specifications.
- Oversee welding machines and equipment to ensure quality of operational performance.
- Strives to get product out on time
- Apply knowledge of production methods, processes and production capacities and capabilities in the Welding Department.
- Review production orders and schedules. Reviews specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan welding operations.
- Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
- Initiate personnel actions regarding discipline, promotions, transfers, discharges or corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate shift reports and communicate critical updates to weekday management teams.
- Take immediate action in response safety concerns and operational disruptions.
- Works with direct reports and other employees to create a safe facility, produce quality products and hit customer deadlines
Manage employees in the welding department to ensure they know their responsibilities and are working together in a positive manner
Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance and give feedback to team members on how to accomplish work in a better manner
Work with the Production Management and Welding teams to coordinate activities that encourages teamwork amongst all individuals in the department.
