WaterPro/Draper Irrigation is looking for a candidate who wants a steady job with the ability to improve your skills and pay.
This job offers very generous benefits package, equivalent to about $10 additional per hour after an initial trial period of 90 days, including fully-paid health insurance for you and your dependents, paid vacation, and tuition reimbursement for courses related to your job. In addition, you can participate in a comprehensive apprenticeship program that will prepare you to pass the Grade IV Operators exam.
All applicants will be required to pass drug screening and a background check, as well as prove legal residency status. You must be able to lift 50 pounds.
This job will require you to work alongside other crew members to install and maintain all aspects of the water distribution system. This will include work on water mains, service laterals, fire hydrants, valves, blow offs, pressure reducing valves on both a culinary and secondary irrigation system.
Operation of large and small equipment such as hydro excavation trucks, backhoes, dump trucks, excavators, compactors and so forth.
Use GIS mapping and electromagnetic locate specific equipment in
order to find underground culinary/secondary irrigation mains, services, valves
Respond to any water emergency, or customer related
issues on a rotating On-Call basis including after hours as needed.
Assist in updating GIS maps by locating facilities and the use
Assist in coordinating Pressurized Irrigation charge up and
monitoring of any leaks, or customer related services in the spring.
Drain all pressurized Irrigation facilities in the fall.
