Texas Meter & Device is hiring for several full-time water meter readers in the Alpharetta, GA area. - Employees will start and end each day in the Alpharetta area to pick up and return equipment and company vehicle.

This is a full-time position. Training pay will start at $20/hour, then pay goes to piece rate and is based on the number of meters read (piece rate/production pay).

Under the general direction of the Project/Field Supervisor, the Meter Reader will be reading residential and commercial water meters.

Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance as there is no per diem nor relocation allowance associated with these positions.

After training, pay is piece rate and technicians can average $20-$30/hour or more.

Training wage is $20/hr and training generally lasts 1-2 weeks.

Monday – Friday, with Saturday work that could be REQUIRED at times

Work hours are generally between the hours of 7am - 5pm (such as 7am - 3:30pm, with a 30 minute lunch or 7:30am - 4pm with a 30 minute lunch), but could vary depending on the project.
