Water and Sewer Operator

The Team Member assigned to this position performs routine and complex assignments associated with operation and repair of water and wastewater systems. Assignment include operation of water distribution and sewer collection systems,completing routine work orders, repair of water/sewer mains, repair of Lift Stations, Repair of grinder pumps.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Prefer experience in water/wastewater repair related utility work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Plumbing and mechanical experience preferred. Benefits: State certification in water/wastewater opportunities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

US Citizen. E-Verification required; No felonies or major misdemeanors. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in field operations programs preferred. Possess Biological 1 or Collection 1 Certification or have the ability to obtain one within 1 year preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Driver’s License. Excellent communication skills required including demonstrated fluency with reading, writing and speaking the English language.
