WASTE WATER TECHNICIAN

FIRST SHIFT SCHEDULE ONLY – MONDAY TO THURSDAY WITH SOME FRIDAYS.

NO EVENINGS OR WEEKENDS!

We are seeking a full-time, skilled Wastewater Technician to join our team. This role is critical to maintaining safe and efficient wastewater treatment operations that support our production needs while protecting our environment.

DUTIES:

The duties for this position include:

- Operating and maintaining wastewater treatment systems, pumps, filters, clarifiers, and chemical equipment.

- Monitoring treatment processes; performing water sampling; regularly cleaning the filter press; and recording data to ensure compliance with the applicable regulations.

- Performing routine inspections, testing, and adjustments on equipment, when needed.

- Mixing and applying treatment chemicals in a safe and accurate manner.

- Troubleshooting system issues, make adjustments, and notify management of major concerns.

- Conducting preventive maintenance and minor repairs on wastewater equipment, when needed.

- Supporting our sustainability initiatives, environmental, health, and safety policies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

- Performing other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

To be qualified for this position, a candidate:

- Must have a Class B Water Treatment Physical Chemical Certification.

- Must have 2+ years’ experience in wastewater treatment, environmental systems – aluminum extrusion or manufacturing environment a plus.

- Must have a solid knowledge of wastewater treatment methods, chemistry, and environmental compliance.

- Must be able to operate testing equipment and interpret results; and have strong math, reading, mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Must be able to work Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM and some Fridays from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

- Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position, which include: working in a warm to hot environment, walking, standing, bending, twisting and lifting between 30 and 50 pounds throughout the day.

- Must be able to successfully complete the required pre-employment drug screening.
