Warehouse /Yard Maintenance

Seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Warehouse Yard Worker to maintain the yard area of our warehouse facility. This role involves operating forklifts and other heavy machinery to move, load and organize materials and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in yard maintenance, equipment operation and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. temporary contractor to support special projects and manage inventory and parts delivery. This role will start as a 90-day contractor with the intent to transition to full-time employment with Flywheel.

Responsibilities:

- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to move materials and equipment safely and efficiently

- Load and unload trucks and trailers in the yard area

- Organize and maintain yard inventory, ensuring materials are stored property and safely

- Receive and fulfill warehouse and yard orders; assist with cycle counts and inventory assessments

- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment and machinery

- Keep the yard clean, organized and free of hazards

- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including material handling and inventory support

- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and drivers to coordinate yard activities

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Must have a valid Driver’s License

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or yard operations role preferred

- Physical requirements include regularly lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to warehouse and yard operations

Work Environment:

- Outdoor yard setting with exposure to weather elements

- Fast-paced and physically demanding environment

- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
