Warehouse Associate

General Summary To perform all warehouse functions including preparing shipments unloadingloading trucks driving and assisting Operations Personnel Primary Responsibilities and Duties Work with Warehouse management to assure uninterruptible supply for our customers in a timely and safe mannerUnload and load product in and out of intercompany package and bulk trucks for next business days orders in a manner compliant with company policy and local state and federal regulationsPull and stage next days orders for bulk and package driversEngage in proper loading unloading and flushing proceduresDeliver products by following instructions from warehouse management and the instructions on the delivery ticket when required if eligible for DriverOperate a vehicle on and off customer sites in a manner compliant with company policy and procedure and compliant with DOT if eligible for DriverPerform drumming requirements and other repackaging products within company guidelines to meet customers needs as necessaryUnload Rail Cars as required per company guidelinesCheck with Operations Management for instructions at the beginning of each shiftPrepare complete and submit in a timely manner the paperwork required by MOPCommunicate with all Operations Personnel Dispatchers Fleet Maintenance Manager and assist them as requiredHelp maintain a clean and safe facilityResponsible for the completion of special projects or the assignment of other duties as assigned by the supervisorEnsure the facility is properly shut down including locking all doors and gates at the end of the shiftPosition Requirements Minimum high school diploma or equivalentPrevious warehouse experience fillingpackagingpickingMust be at least 18 years oldPrevious experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts stand up and sit down pallet jacks cherry pickers etcKnowledge of procedures to secure cargo in or on a commercial vehicleAbility to successfully complete the forklift certification testPosition Competencies Ability to work in a fast paced environment while performing multiple duties and tasks Ability to work independently as well as with a teamAbility to follow company safety and quality procedures and guidelines consistently Proven ability to complete position responsibilities within the allotted timeframe Produces a caliber of work consistent with departmental operating standards Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy Ability to work efficiently Effectively represents the company and is responsive to the needs of internalexternal customers Working knowledge of a WMS and handheld technologyWorking Environment The work of this position is performed in both inside and outside environments in heatcold wethumid and dryarid conditions The position requires the ability to lift push and pull up to 50lbs Frequent bending stooping and climbing are also required In this position associates may be exposed to hazardous materials vapors fumes and extreme weather conditions Proper PPE is provided for employees working in these conditions The job description of the Warehouse Associate is not inclusive and is subject to changes additions and deletions as determined by the supervisor The McPherson Companies Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer MFVetsDisabled
