Description: Vice President of Sales is primarily responsible for overseeing our hunter-based sales initiatives and managing the Sales Team Members in support of the Company’s growth strategy. The candidate will work directly for the GM/SVP for Diesel Direct supporting the business units which report to the GM. The focus of this role is to drive relationship based new logo and new site sales directly with clients and through the Sales Team.
The Vice President of Sales will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and profitability this key division of the company. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans that align with the company's overall objectives. The VP of Sales will lead a dynamic team, foster a culture of high performance and accountability while ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs to effectively position our products and services. Ultimately, the VP of Sales will be instrumental in achieving revenue targets and market expansion. Role:
- Develop and grow key relationships with customers and prospective customers, including fleets, vessels, generators, construction and asset-based companies requiring direct fueling to drive market share and profitable revenue growth in keeping with Company objectives.
- Effectively communicate strategy, goals, and progress
- Effectively provide day-to-day guidance, support, training, and discipline as necessary. This includes assuring CRM is properly updated and information like lead source is validated.
- Communicate effectively with all internal/external stakeholders and collaborate and work effectively across all areas of the business to achieve common goals in a constructive and positive manner.
- Provide training for new employees or existing employees as needed.
- Carries out all supervisory responsibilities in a fair, consistent, and respectful manner and in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Manage ownership reviews of accounts older than two years since first sale to help move these legacy accounts to our house account management team. Balance profit and efficiency.
- Build a diverse portfolio seeking to build opportunities in our broad portfolio scope beyond truck to truck and tank including mission critical, vessel, locomotive, generator, etc. value add services.
- Provide deep functional expertise in industry and ongoing market trends and opportunities.
- Ability to develop professional relationships to facilitate the introduction of our products.
- A broad set of leadership competencies that include strong communication and change management skills, ability to drive business insights, ability to collaborate cross functionally, and effective planning and execution skills.
- Ability to effectively manage in a high growth demand driven environment.
- Extensive sales management experience (8+ years) in industry with a proven track record of managing salespeople.This job description lists the primary responsibilities and duties for this position.
