About This Job

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Utility Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will need to have 5+ years of experience in utility construction site operations and a strong mechanical knowledge in laying ductile iron, hdpe pipe, and pvc water lines, sewer, and storm. This role involves operating various heavy machinery and ensuring the efficient completion of utility projects. The Utility Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards while executing tasks related to construction and utility installation.

Duties

•

Operate heavy machinery including, excavators and skidsteers to perform various construction tasks.

•

Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of equipment, particularly John Deere machinery.

•

Collaborate with team members to build infrastructure according to project specifications.

•

Follow safety protocols and regulations on the construction site to prevent accidents and injuries.

•

Assist in site preparation, including grading and excavation work.

•

Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and project progress.

Qualifications

•

5 years minus of proven experience in a utility construction site environment is preferred.

•

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

•

Experience operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, backhoes, graders, and dump trucks.

•

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while following instructions from supervisors.

•

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on-site.

•

Valid driver's license may be required depending on the specific job duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
