U.S. Water Services Corporation (USWSC) is seeking an effective utility leader to serve as the superintendent over a newly created utility system in Osceola County Florida. The utility system is a consecutive system providing water, wastewater, and reclaimed water irrigation services to new development. The superintendent will oversee daily operations of the utility system; work closely with contractors on new connections and construction inspections. During the initial years this position will require strength in construction inspection and coordination as the utility is constructed and expanded. Strong distribution system operations are required. The position will serve as the liaison for the utility and will be required to interface with contractors, customers, prepare and deliver written and oral reports to a board of directors.
This position is not solely Administrative and requires work in the field as well. USWSC is looking for a candidate who is seeking a long-term position to grow as the utility grows. This position will be responsible for the daily operation of the consecutive water system, lift station operations, and daily construction inspections. Additionally, customer service functions will include assisting customers with setting up accounts, setting meters, and interfacing directly with customers.

Provide daily construction inspection and maintain detailed inspection logs.
Provide technical expertise in proper maintenance and operational functions to minimize service interruptions.
Plan and budget for all materials and equipment necessary to provide and maintain adequate water and/or sanitary sewer service to customers.
Provide and maintain complete reports and records concerning the operational status of the water and/or sanitary sewer infrastructure and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide supervision and technical expertise in the formulation and implementation of emergency operations procedures to minimize impact to the customers.
The ideal candidate shall have a minimum of eight years of progressive utility experience in utility management and at least three years' experience in a managerial role. Prior experience in distribution operations, lift stations and wastewater collections and customer service required. Dual licensed water and wastewater operator preferred; a minimum of Class C water operator license is required.
