Summary:

This position measures and monitors conformance with pipeline and electric requirements as well as company policies to maximize public safety and mitigate risks associated with utility operations. The quality control specialist is responsible for confirming utility operational risks, their mitigation plans, evaluating utility process safety culture, gathering data to measure operational controls, executing quality assurance test plans, and completing utility work order completions to ensure accurate financial and geospatial mapping postings. Additionally, this position will perform document quality review of records associated with utility installation, operations, and maintenance; evaluating the effectiveness of work order management processes. This position is responsible for supporting continuous improvement projects within the Utility Operations.

Essential Functions:

Education:

Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Preferred if you have an ASQ Certified Auditor or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

In lieu of a degree, will consider a combination of education and utility related experience totaling four (4) years, where each year of applicable college = 1 year and each year of applicable work experience = 0.5 year. Experience in lieu of education is in addition to the Experience requirements.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of 2 years of gas or electric distribution experience, including 1 years working with the SAP managing work orders and running list edits

Preferred Experience:

Use of corporate systems including but not limited to SAP, FileNet, ServiceHub, ERSI

Use of data analytic software and data visualization software like PowerBi and Tableau

Use of statistical techniques and algorithms
