Utility Meter Reader (Entry Level)

Position Summary

This is a full-time, entry level position conducting meter readings of gas and electric meters throughout the Central Hudson NYS territory.

$19/hr

Monday - Friday, 7:30 to 4pm

100% Paid training

Essential Job Functions

Locate appropriate structure utilizing provided software

Safely and accurately read electric and gas consumption meters

Inspect meters and connections for defects, damage, and unauthorized connections

Position Qualifications

Previous experience working outside

Ability to walk between 1 to 5 miles each day

Enjoy working outdoors in various types of weather and terrain such as wooded, urban, rural and unmaintained right of ways

Valid Drivers License
