We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Application Coordinator / Project Coordinator in Atlantic City, New Jerseyto support daily operations related to street lighting maintenance and customer service. This role is responsible for managing and routing high volumes of street light service requests, coordinating with multiple internal departments (including emergency response, field teams, and engineering), and ensuring timely resolution of customer concerns.
This is a
non-engineering roleideal for individuals with strong
utility experience, excellent
communication skills, and a passion for
coordinating field and office activities. Occasional fieldwork is required to support material ordering and design tasks.
Role Expectations
- Receive, review, and triage 50–100+ automated customer complaints daily related to street lighting via internal software systems.
- Analyze each request and delegate tasks appropriately to internal teams (e.g., Emergency Response Team, Field Teams, Engineering).
- Track and monitor service request status to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with construction teams to support project execution and resolution of service issues.
- Perform light fieldwork, such as visiting sites to take photographs and gather details to assist the engineering or design process.
- Support material ordering and inventory coordination based on work orders and design requirements.
- Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and contractors to relay status updates and gather necessary information.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming service requests, work assignments, and resolutions.
- Assist in improving and streamlining internal workflow processes to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.
- 1–3 years of experience in a utility, construction, or operations coordination role (street lighting or electric utility experience preferred).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage a high volume of requests.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; customer service-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in using computer systems for task tracking, work order management, and communications.
- Ability to work both in office and field environments as needed.
- Comfortable collaborating across teams and departments.
- Valid driver's license preferred for fieldwork duties.
Pay Range $20-30/ hour
