The Advanced Meter Infrastructure Systems Support team is looking for a student intern to be a part of a of customer facing technology team. This team works together with clients, vendors, and other internal SRP groups to maintain highly available, critical metering applications and integrations. The supported applications communicate with meters at SRP customer’s homes and businesses as well as with internal data and billing systems. They support both credit and prepay rates as well as provide remote meter functionality and meter data to client applications for customer orders, billing, customer presentment, reporting and troubleshooting. The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 29.5 hours per week maximum.
If you enjoy working on a highly collaborative team that creates innovative solutions, troubleshoots issues, and is always learning new technologies, then you will be excited about this position. As a member on this team, you will learn new metering technologies, work on network mysteries, build and run queries and reports, write and run test plans, analyze data, create and update documentation, work on Windows and Linux servers, and collaborate on cross-departmental project teams to deliver innovative solutions and technologies. You will thrive/succeed in this role if you have strong communication skills and curiosity to learn technologies.
College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
