Travel time from your primary residence to your assigned headquarters must be 60 minutes or less under normal driving conditions.

Job Summary

Are you excited about clean energy? Do you love being hands on and working outdoors? We have an exciting opportunity for you in our renewables department! We are currently hiring for an Energy Technician. We are looking for motivated individuals with a technical background in maintenance and electrical equipment who are ready to help us build our generating future!

In this role you will be responsible for helping maintain Alliant Energy Owned Solar and Battery Storage sites. The position is located at our Cedar Ridge Operations Center in Eden, WI.

You’ll be performing routine inspections and maintenance on solar panels, racking systems, inverters, wiring, and controls. Site facility inspection and maintenance is also an important part of the job and includes: fencing, buildings, gates, roads, culverts, and signs.

What you will do* Performs inspections and minor repairs on Solar and Energy/Battery installations throughout the Alliant Energy (WPL) footprint.

Education Requirements* High School Diploma Required

Preferred Experience* Vocational/Technical School Training a plus.

Other Requirements* Must possess a valid driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* Demonstrated mechanical ability.

Pay Range:

$31.19 - $35.67
