About the Role
We are currently seeking dependable and motivated Up-Tower Generator Repair Technicians Level II to join our team. This position supports experienced lead technicians with generator repairs on GE wind platforms across multiple project sites. While prior generator repair experience is not required, candidates should have 1–2 years of wind industry experience and a strong desire to grow within the trade.
What You’ll Do
•Assist Lead Technicians with up-tower generator repairs and maintenance, including bearing exchanges, re-leads, and wye ring replacements.
•Support setup, teardown, and safe operation of tooling and equipment.
•Climb turbines and perform work at height to support repair scopes.
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring proper use and organization of tools.
•Follow directions from the Lead Technician and complete required documentation.
•Apply GE LOTO procedures and demonstrate safe work practices.
•Exhibit initiative and dependability to support long-term career development.
Qualifications / Requirements
•1–2 years of wind industry experience preferred.
•Ability to travel on a 6 weeks on / 1 week off rotation.
•Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
•Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
•Ability to follow instructions, perform physical labor, and prioritize safety.
Eligibility Requirements
•Ability to travel and remain on-site for extended project durations.
•Must pass required drug screening, background check, and fitness-for-duty evaluation.
•Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
•Ability to climb up to 300 ft. multiple times per day.
•Comfort working in confined spaces and extreme environmental conditions.
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work while suspended in a harness for extended periods.
