Job Summary Description:

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Union Laborer. Projects primarily consist of civil construction, earthwork, and underground utilities including sanitary, storm and waterline projects. We are looking for hard-working individuals that are interested in growing within our company. This position is for a diligent individual that can work with a crew to get each job done at an efficient rate.

Under the direction of the crew foreman, the Laborer will conduct all daily routine activities associated with trenchless pipe rehabilitation installation in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Job Accountabilities:

- Assisting with Pipe Installation: Laborers are responsible for assisting in the installation of CIPP liners into existing pipes. This may involve physically handling materials, equipment, and tools, as well as following proper installation procedures.

- Preparing Work Area: Laborers should help prepare the work area before starting the installation process. This may include clearing debris, setting up barriers or safety equipment, and ensuring the area is safe for work.

- Operating Equipment: Depending on the specific job requirements, laborers may be tasked with operating equipment such as pumps, generators, or curing equipment used in the CIPP process. Proper training and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

- Material Handling: Laborers are often responsible for transporting materials to and from the work site. This may involve loading and unloading trucks, organizing materials on-site, and ensuring that the necessary supplies are readily available.

- Assisting Crew Members: Laborers work closely with other members of the construction crew, including technicians, supervisors, and engineers. They may be required to assist with various tasks as needed, such as mixing resins, conducting quality control checks, or monitoring equipment.

- Maintaining Safety Standards: Safety is paramount in CIPP construction. Laborers must adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following proper lifting techniques, and identifying potential hazards on the job site.

- Quality Assurance: Laborers play a role in ensuring the quality of the finished product. This may involve inspecting materials for defects, monitoring the installation process for accuracy, and addressing any issues that arise during construction.

- Cleanup and Maintenance: After completing the installation, laborers are responsible for cleaning up the work area and returning equipment and materials to their proper storage locations. They may also assist with routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good working condition.

- Documentation and Reporting: Laborers may be required to keep detailed records of work performed, including daily activity logs, material usage, and any incidents or accidents that occur on the job site. Clear and accurate reporting is essential for project management and compliance purposes.

- Continuous Learning: In a dynamic field like CIPP construction, staying updated on industry trends, techniques, and safety regulations is crucial. Laborers should be committed to ongoing training and professional development to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

- Demonstrate good communications and interaction skills.

- Accurate, detailed, reliable, and able to follow orders on projects and tasks with minimal supervision.

- Ability to be proactive and trouble shoot.
