The Turnaround manager in summary, acts in support of the operations directly plan, coordinate, and supervise all Total Safety, Inc. personnel and activities, during a “Turn-Around” or “Project” at a customer on-site location that include but are not limited to the following:
- Plans, develops, & initiates start-up and close-out of Turn-Arounds.
- Directs and oversees Turn-Around Project managers and Supervisor(s).
- Strictly adheres to all Total Safety, Inc. Procedures and Turn-Around Polices & Protocols.
- Interfaces with the Sales force to insure that all customer expectations are met.
- Reports to Turnaround Manager/Sr. Management
on project scheduling and overall performance of turn-around.
- Processes all Project billing documents to insure correct invoicing.
- Assigns project managers to perform on site job walks for estimating for high pressure and air cobra rig ups.
- Coordinates all Turn-Around activities and interfaces with customer management or supervision to resolve any issues that may arise during a Turn-Around.
- Insures proper maintenance of tools, respiratory equipment, breathing air equipment, breathing air transport trailers, cascade air banks and associated pressure regulating equipment, portable electronics gas detection and communications equipment by all field personnel.
- Oversees proper operation of breathing air compressors during a Turn-Around project to support 24 hour per day operations in order to satisfy customer needs and demands.
- Insures that any other required PPE equipment is made available.
- Identifies needs and submits requests for equipment and materials to sustain On-Site support during Turn-Around projects.
- Oversees customer service in the areas of training; i.e., Qualitative/Quantitative Respirator Fit Testing, Fresh Air Breathing & SCBA training, Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT’s), Confined Space Entry, Fire and Bottle Watch training.
- Enforces performance standards and maintains personnel accountability.
- Insure that all tasks and assignments are performed in accordance with applicable Total Safety turnaround Operating Procedures and guidelines.
- Encourages and supports professional development and training of subordinates.
- Maintains a high state of integrity and professionalism in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Education:
Required: High School Graduate or GED equivalent Preferred: five to seven years’ industry or refinery experienceExperience:
A minimum of five years’ operations experience in the petrochemical or industrial safety equipment industry and at least one year of which is with Total Safety, Inc.
A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory and/or management position

Use of analytical, organizational and observation skills that demonstrate the ability to grasp concepts or needs, and organize, implement and manage programs/solutions. Must demonstrate leadership in all areas of responsibility
Interpersonal Communications:
Must read, speak, and write English at or above a high school graduate level. Spanish speaking skills not required but considered a plus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee will be required to be able to operate forklift equipment.

The Project Manager supervises and has reporting to him/her: On-Site Project managers and Supervisor(s)
Authority:
The Project Manager is delegated with the authority to make decisions and take actions required to satisfy the responsibilities of the position. Included with this authority is accountability for both actions taken and actions not taken.
As directed by the General Manager, supervises enforcement and/or implementation of company policies and procedures as they pertain to Turn-Arounds & Projects, Trailer Technical Service functions, Field personnel, and other responsibilities.
Establishes operating priorities for Project & Turn-Around personnel.
As directed by the General Manager, train, discipline, and provide evaluation input to the General Manager for all subordinates within his/her area of responsibility.
