The Turbine Technician is responsible for Maintenance of Gas Turbines, Compressors, Generators and package related equipment. Responsible for directing Contract Field Service Technicians when needed. May also be responsible for other rotating equipment repair and maintenance on an as needed basis.The Turbine Technician will be reporting to our Linam Ranch facility in Hobbs, NM .

Responsibilities May Include:
Performs preventative maintenance on Gas Turbines which includes Gas Producer wash, filter changes, Annual Inspections and calibrations
Performs maintenance on Gas Turbines which includes Gas Producer, Compressors, Control Panels, Surge Controls, Air intake Systems and package safety equipment
Swings Gas Producers on scheduled overhauls
Develops a maintenance schedule for Turbines
Conduct vibration analysis, thermographic analysis, and performance monitoring to detect early signs of wear, misalignment, or failure.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance work, and turbine performance data.
Communicates with operations on maintenance needs and schedules
Attends test cell runs on new Gas Producers
Attends tear down of Gas Producers and Compressors that are being overhauled
Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in turbines and auxiliary systems.
Perform repairs on damaged or worn-out components such as bearings, seals, blades, rotors, and casings.
Overhaul and replace major turbine components as needed.
Assist with the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new turbines and related equipment.
Ensure proper calibration of instrumentation and control systems associated with turbine operations.
Repair and Maintenance of other plant rotating equipment on an as needed basis.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Have a valid driver’s license
3 or more years of experience as a Gas Turbine Technician, and capable of independently troubleshooting and repairing Gas Turbine Control Systems
Able to read Electrical and Mechanical Gas Turbine drawings, Gas Producer data sheets and Compressor Curve data sheets
Willingness to perform/comply with the following:
Work overtime, which includes some weekends and holidays
Read technical procedures and materials in English
Work near large, hot, high-speed machines
Climb up to 250 feet in height, occasionally may climb A-frame ladders.
Comfortable working in confined spaces
Lift up to 65 pounds, periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the gas plant.
Regularly stoops, squats, kneels and crouches for durations up to 3 minutes.
Work outside in harsh weather conditions
Work with petroleum products that are under high pressure and heat
Learn computer software associated with process operations
Available for callouts
Work closely with engineering teams, maintenance managers, and other technicians to solve complex mechanical problems and improve turbine performance.
Provide training and guidance to junior technicians when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
7 or more years of experience as a Gas Turbine Technician, and capable of independently troubleshooting and repairing Gas Turbine Control Systems
3 or more years of experience with PLC Based Controls Panels and Relay logic Control Panels.
1 or more of years of experience with mechanical and/or rotating equipment maintenance
Certification of Gas Turbine Training
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of rotating machinery dynamics, vibration analysis, and precision alignment techniques.
Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
