As a Tubing Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, and testing of tubing systems used in the manufacturing of power generation equipment. This role requires strong technical knowledge of tubing materials, precision assembly practices, and safety standards. You will work closely with engineers, assembly teams, and quality control to ensure tubing systems are properly integrated, efficient, and compliant with manufacturing specifications.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Tubing Assembly
•Assemble tubing systems for applications such as fuel, oil, water, and hydraulics.
•Interpret and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
•Cut, bend, flare, and install tubing using proper tools and industry techniques.
2. System Integration
•Route and install tubing systems into equipment or assemblies per design specifications.
•Work collaboratively with welding, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration.
•Ensure tubing systems are secured, accessible, and meet routing, spacing, and clearance standards.
3. Quality Control & Testing
•Perform pressure and leak tests on tubing systems to ensure integrity and performance.
•Inspect tubing for damage, proper bends, fitting alignment, and conformance to specs.
•Document results and maintain compliance with internal quality procedures and customer standards.
4. Maintenance & Support
•Support rework, troubleshooting, or modifications to tubing systems during manufacturing changes.
•Assist in maintaining tubing tools and equipment.
•Participate in process improvement efforts and provide technical feedback to engineering.
Education & Experience
•High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
•2–5 years of experience working with tubing systems in a manufacturing environment, preferably in power generation or related industries.
•Experience with fluid dynamics or pressure systems is a plus.
