Job Overview:
We are seeking a Transmission Analyst with transmission lines knowledge or experience to support the capital project closeout process within the Transmission Engineering organization. This role ensures that transmission capital projects are reconciled and properly closed after construction completion, requiring strong analytical skills and familiarity with transmission line design, construction, and operations.
- Manage the capital project closeout process in compliance with the Transmission Capital Project Closeout management procedure.
- Research and resolve variances between project actuals and estimates.
- Perform reconciliation and closure of capital projects once placed in service.
- Track and maintain project closeout status and generate required business reports.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company procedures.
- Develop and maintain customer-focused relationships with stakeholders across Engineering, Supply Chain, Property Accounting, Project Management, Construction, and Compliance.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying gaps and recommending process enhancements.
- Associate degree (two-year) in a technical field with related work experience (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (preferred).
- Prior experience managing power utility transmission capital projects (preferred).
- Strongly preferred: experience in transmission line design and/or construction.
- Familiarity with transmission line design, construction, operation, and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of materials, equipment, and costs associated with transmission line projects.
- Technical experience with TEAMS (Transmission Estimating and Management System), Maximo, Vault, and/or PowerPlan (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to analyze large sets of transaction data.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities to collaborate across multiple departments.
