We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Training Administrationto join our team at our Corporate office in Galliano, LA. As a Training Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and delivering effective training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of our employees. The ideal candidate will have experience in our ITEC program, instructional design, curriculum development, and adult education.
- Confers with management to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
- Selects teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
- Selects testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of training.
- Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as new hire orientation, safety craft specific training, apprenticeship programs, health and safety practices, refresher training, and leadership development.
- Provides customer service, sales techniques, public relations, promotional development.
- Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
- Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
- Continually improve knowledge through education, research, study, etc.
- Attend training certification classes as required.
- Distribute PPE to New Hires.
- Assist with HSE & HR Departments as required.
- Housekeeping of ITEC Facility.
- Immediately report all Incidents/Accidents, no matter how small, to their Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging training content
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with curriculum development processes
Preferred candidates would have experience in the following trainings: Safegulf, Rigging, HUET and OPITO
