Torque & Test (Frac Valve Rig-Up/Down) Field Service Tech

J&W Services is hiring qualified and experienced field service technicians to conduct frac pad rig-up/down operations as directed by service manager. Required to travel to customer locations and rig-up/rig-down frac equipment in conformance with J&W quality procedures and SOP's. Understand pad layout requirements, equipment functionality, and perform heavy equipment handling when necessary.

Job Duties

· Installs and tests frac equipment on location in accordance with J&W operating procedures.

· Prior to any field job understand all job requirements, equipment needed, and any related customer specific requirements.

· Basic understanding of accumulators, greasing equipment, high-pressure hoses, torque wrenches, and general frac operations.

· Verify all equipment is maintenance, available, and in working condition prior to beginning of job.

· Must be familiar with 10K & 15K frac valves (hydraulic and manual), valve installation, field maintenance, etc.

· Maintain and properly utilize personal protection equipment (PPE) such as: hardhat, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe boots, flame resistant clothing, H2S, gloves, and any additional PPE required for jobsite.

· Maintains service vehicle and tools/equipment. Ensures periodic maintenance consistent with company policy and promptly reports required repairs to service manager.

· Responsible for always ensuring a safe work environment.

· Adhere to all J&W company policy and procedure, guidelines, and SOPs.

· Ability to communicate effectively with management and coworkers, both oral and written, clearly and concisely.

· Ability to operate heavy equipment, forklift, etc.

· Must understand and comply with all safety rules and regulations.

· Thoroughly complete all required field paperwork as directed by supervisor.

· Competence in API-6A quality manual system and ability to conduct business operations in conformance with all processes and requirements of J&W's API quality management system.

· Maintains a high degree of customer satisfaction by providing timely and competent service.

Required Skills/Education/Experience:

· Authorized to work in the United States.

· Experience: 2-3 years verifiable related work experience, basic mechanical abilities to work in shop area and location as needed. Prior frac valve experience is preferred.

· Current forklift certification.

· Ability to lift up to 65 pounds.

· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

· Must be computer literate, have ability to analyze and report to management, and able to multi-task.

· Must be able to climb up and climb down a ladder from work locations.

· Must be able to work in confined spaces.

· Must be willing to work 12-hour shift (day/night) during frac rig-up operations.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
