Summary:
The Tool Hand is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and delivering tools and equipment to support field operations. This includes managing inventory, ensuring tool safety and readiness, operating company vehicles for transport, and assisting crews as needed - all while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:•Disassemble/assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or finished product
•Follow detailed written procedures and technical drawings
•Safely operate company vehicle to transport tools, equipment, and materials to designated work sites or customer locations.
•Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
•Perform minor adjustments and repairs
•Check mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for alignment and proper functioning
•Perform quality control inspections on assembled tools
•Documents actions by completing production and quality paperwork in a timely manner
•Operate various hand tools and precision measurement equipment
•Operate forklifts, handcarts, dollies, pallet jacks and overhead cranes
•Phosphating and painting of parts and products
•General shop and equipment maintenance
•Consistently perform housekeeping in work area
•Adhere to health, safety, and quality policies
•Adhere to company policies and procedures
•Participate in training and safety meetings
•Perform other duties as required

•Good communicator both verbal and written
•Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and job order documentation
•Able to follow and understand both oral and written instructions in English

•Excellent mechanical inclination and knowledge
•Possess a very good aptitude in the use various hand tools and precision measurement equipment
Education/Requirements
•Grade 12 basic math skills
•Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
•Ability to follow established procedures, practices, and technical drawings
•Good communication skills and problem-solving abilities
•A strong commitment to HSE guidelines and quality requirements
•Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs, lift items weighing more than 50 lbs with assistance from other workers, forklift and/or overhead hoist
•Ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment to achieve job goals
•Work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
•Enthusiastic, able to work unsupervised and self-motivated
•Good physical fitness, ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
