SUMMARY: Perform manual labor in a production environment; assembling parts of various product lines. Craft skills in the assembly, fit up, stack up, etc. of the mechanical aspects and general components. Mentors, trains, coaches and inspects the lower Level assemblers and their work performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Advanced level of the methodology and the tooling for mechanical stack up and assembly. When in doubt, accepts and seeks mentoring, coaching and or supervision from higher Level assemblers or management while using non-standard or specialized tooling for package mechanical stack up and assembly.
•Advanced level of the understanding for package mechanical stack up and/or assembly, it is understood that level 2 assemblers are at an advanced level of assembly, how-ever accepts coaching and/or direction by the higher Level 1 assemblers as well as shop leadership/management. This level of assembler is EXPECTED to mentor, coach, assist and inspect work performed by Level 3 assemblers.
•Advanced knowledge for working in such an industry, this level of assembler is to follow all safety guidelines as well as mentor, coach and instruct lower level assemblers for safe work practices, ask for guidance from Level 1 assemblers and/or on site EHS or management for assistance if in doubt.
•Advanced level of knowledge or experience for problem resolution and assembly issues. Experienced, with the qualification and the self-initiative to mentor, coach, train, etc. Level 3 assemblers. Accountable to oversee, inspect and teach Level 3 assemblers, to give hands on instruction for correction action required to any said work that doesn’t meet quality or design intent, OJT to lower Level assemblers.
•Advanced familiarization with mechanical drawings, BOMs, processes, etc. Self-driven, reads and understand said documents, follows them throughout work performed, seeks assistance as necessary from Level 1 assemblers or management as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•This job has no supervisory requirements, however it is the responsibility of a Level 2 assembler, to mentor, train and inspect the workmanship of level 3 assemblers during their OJT.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Advanced level within mechanical stack-up and assembly, 2 years experience is required.
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
