The Threading Lead will oversee pipe threading or processing ensuring all SeAH Steel USA, LLC’s SOPs and API regulations are met.
- Directs training and supervision of threading line personnel to meet the demands made of the Threadline Department.
- Directs his department to standard policies and procedures that includes all applicable policies.
- Applies for all purchase requisitions to the Production Manager for tooling, supplies, and accessories needed for the Threading Department in a manner not to cause production delays or unnecessary delivery costs.
- Responsible for the verification of the Daily Threading Reports before forwarding to the Quality Department.
- Reports daily production runs on SAP and issues movements for exit pick up and material usage.
- Enforce safety rules per company policy.
- Holds morning meetings with direct reports on safety.
- Supervises and directs the activities associated with threading facility to meet API and proprietary specifications.
- Strives to continually effect cost reductions by improvements in methods, equipment upgrading, maintenance, tooling, supplies, and production rates.
- Builds an on-going organization with hands on personnel training to handle production level and vacancy changes without occurring major difficulties.
- Other duties as assigned.
o High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
o Prefer at least five years’ experience in threading operations of API connections utilizing API specifications.
o Prefer at least 1 year of good leadership skills.
o Knowledge and experience within the OCTG pipe manufacturing industry is preferable.
o Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
o Manual dexterity required for operating, machinery, hand tools and hand held technical devices.
o Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures is a plus.
o Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required.
o Employee must be able to work with a flexible schedule which may require over-time.
o Understands all applicable location safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
- Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted on site.
- The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly.
