This position will be primarily based in Springfield, MA, and will require some travel/coverage of our Terryville, CT location. Must be flexible to adjust schedule and location within that radius. Monthly on-call will be a requirement.
Experience preferred but willing to train select candidates. Must have mechanical aptitude, ability to use tools and basic handy-person skills
Load and unload tank trucks, ships, rail cars and barges
Record product temperature and levels in storage tanks
Climb tank stairs, operate valves and pumps, gauge tanks
Assist Operations with product transfer alignments including piping, pumps and associated
Perform or assist in the performance of preventive and regular maintenance duties
Become a member of the Emergency Response Team
Perform all work in strict accordance with Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures
Perform all work in strict accordance with operating policies, procedures and checklists
Perform work as assigned and directed by Terminal manager

Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
Must pass and complete Safety training/certification as required by Inland Fuel Terminals Inc.
Must obtain and/or meet all requirements to enter foreign trade zones; such as background checks by both the U.S. Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security, i.e. obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
Must train in Safety and Hazmat requirements at the facility
Must have mechanical aptitude, with ability to use tools and perform basic repair functions
