GSU requires a Temporary Powerline Technician “A”. The Powerline Technician will construct, operate and maintain the overhead and underground electrical distribution systems within GSU’s service area stationed from our 500 Regent St, Sudbury location.
The successful applicant must possess the following qualifications:
- Journeyman Powerline Technician Certification licensed to work in Ontario
- Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma
- Class “ARZ” Driver’s License is an asset
- Knowledge of E&USA Safety Rules, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Utility Work Protection Code and all other applicable legislation
- Experience in all aspects of electrical utility distribution work, overhead or underground, on system potentials up to and including 44kV.
- A valid Ontario Class G driver’s license is required.
- This is a temporary position for a duration of up to one year
