Temporary Limited-Term Opportunity - WATER EFFICIENCY SPECIALIST I
PCWA is seeking an energetic individual to perform a variety of activities in the Agency’s water metering program, including reading, recording, repair, replacing and servicing Agency water meters, hanging door tags and notices and assisting customers with meter-related questions. The ideal candidate for this position will possess increasingly responsible experience working in water metering programs for a water utility and will have experience/familiarity with AMI and AMR. This recruitment will result in an eligible list of candidates to be used to fill one full-time limited-term, temporary position in support of limited duration water efficiency projects. This position will be filled for a period not to exceed two years, based on the plans and progress of the projects.
Individuals appointed to these positions will be classified as temporary employees and will not accrue regular status or seniority with the Agency. In accordance with provisions of the federal Affordable Care Act and CalPERS requirements, employees in these positions will be eligible for group health care benefits and CalPERS membership with the Agency.
