The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for delivering expert technical support across rig service operations, coiled tubing rig investments, and related COSL Canada projects. This role ensures equipment quality, technical compliance, and efficient project execution.
- Provide technical support for rig services, coiled tubing rig investment, and COSL Canada operations.
- Create and review technical specifications for equipment. • Conduct vendor research and prepare related evaluation reports.
- Assess investment projects and provide technical recommendations.
- Investigate oilfield sites and collect well information.
- Engage with manufacturers to resolve technical and commercial issues.
- Lead vendor negotiations and finalize technical agreements.
- Oversee equipment manufacturing, installation, testing, and acceptance.
- Perform equipment quality inspections and acceptance reviews.
- Review inspection records, construction plans, and completion documentation.
- Issue and follow up on non-conformance reports.
- Supervise on-site construction methods and operational procedures.
- Support commissioning activities and resolve quality issues during testing.
- Create commissioning plans ensuring safe and stable operations.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly technical reporting.
- Maintain accurate supervision logs and project documentation.
- Valid Class 5 driver license or higher.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a wellsite supervisor or rig manager.
- Knowledge of oil sands drilling, completion, and workover operations.
- Experience with drilling rigs, service rigs, coiled tubing rigs, and wellsite equipment.
- Understanding of Canadian oil & gas laws, standards, and equipment specifications.
- Knowledge of CSA, UL, CRN certification requirements and environmental regulations
