Technical Sales Representative – Oil & Gas (Offshore/Onshore)
We are seeking a driven Technical Sales Representative
to support both onshore and offshore customers within an assigned sales territory. This role combines
business development, customer relationship management, and technical expertiseto deliver tailored solutions, support field operations, and grow sales revenue.
The position requires frequent travel, including offshore platform visits, to ensure hands-on customer engagement and operational support.
- Manage and grow sales within assigned customer accounts and pursue new business opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including facility executives and decision-makers.
- Assess customer operations, perform system analysis, interpret data, and provide written recommendations to ensure optimal performance.
- Promote and support innovative technologies and solutions to strengthen long-term customer partnerships.
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve territory growth and profitability goals.
- Lead and participate in customer trainings, technical seminars, and events.
- Monitor account health and profitability, recommending continuous improvement and innovation plans.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver cost-effective and reliable chemical and service solutions.
- Competitive salary, plus sales incentive bonus (commensurate with experience).
- Travel: Up to
50% overnight travel
within sales territory and to/from offshore platforms.
- Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- 4+ years of successfultechnical sales or field sales support experience
(onshore/offshore preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial)
or
Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.)
.
- 5+ years of technical sales or field support experience, ideally in offshore operations.- Experience in the
oil and gas industry
, preferably with deepwater production chemicals.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, ability to learn internal business systems).
- Demonstrated strengths in communication, organization, ethics, time management, adaptability, and self-motivation.
- Proven ability to negotiate, resolve problems, and manage multiple priorities.
- Technical proficiency in a specialized area relevant to business needs.
- Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 55 lbs. chest-high.
