Job Description

This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and provides strategic guidance and deep technical expertise to ensure the optimal design, integration, and performance of complex systems. The Technical Fellow will leverage their extensive knowledge of nuclear engineering principles, nuclear software codes, and practices to optimize systems, processes, and the engineering organization. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities to ensure that all system components—people, technology, materials, information, and energy—work together seamlessly to meet project and organizational goals. The Technical Fellow will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance engineering and nuclear software code practices, influence product and system architectures, and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems integration, performance, and efficiency.

Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD

Work Site Expectations: 4-5 days in office

Travel Expectations: up to 10%

Hours: Standard office hours are 8:00am ET to 5:00pm ET, Monday -Friday

Compensation

As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is:

$196,000- $294,000
