What You Will Contribute:
The Badger Meter Internship Program provides hands-on, real-world experience to students through projects that make a difference! In addition to your projects, you will be given the opportunity to participate in our robust Intern program focused on Badger Meter Culture, professional development, community outreach and a final capstone project.

The Intern, Systems integration will work under the mentorship of other Systems Integration team members to execute in-depth investigations of returned products. Typical workflow will include sampling failed units, performing root cause analysis, identifying failure trends, and documenting results and actions. This will be an onsite internship at our Milwaukee facility this summer (40 hours a week).
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Assist in collecting, analyzing, and managing the data collection from returned products
- Assist in test and development of scripts, fixtures, and other automated methods to improve processing of returned products
- Document test results, create reports and escalating anomalies to more experienced engineers
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to establish an understanding of failure root cause analysis
- Gain familiarization with Badger Meter products
- Learn and navigate Badger Meter systems and procedures
- Currently pursuing a degree (2 or 3 years complete) in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Science or related fields
- Experience with reading, debugging, and writing code in one or more programming languages. Python preferred
- Basic understanding of electronic components and test equipment
- Basic understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Basic understanding of statistical methods
- Sound troubleshooting and technical skill set
- Demonstrated strong initiative and motivation- preferred
- Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems- preferred
