About This Job

STV is seeking a Signals Engineer to join our Systems and Security department at our New York City, NY and Philadelphia, PA offices.

Responsibilities:

•

Support design, review, and integration of rail and transit signal systems, including interlockings, train control, and grade crossing systems.

•

Assist in the development of signal system specifications, drawings, and calculations for both capital and rehabilitation projects.

•

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including track, communications, and civil engineers to ensure system compatibility.

•

Participate in field inspections and site visits to assess signal installation and integration.

•

Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and client-specific signal design criteria.

Qualifications:

•

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.

•

5+ years of experience in rail/transit signal engineering, preferably within a consulting or public agency environment.

•

Familiarity with signal design software and CAD platforms.

•

Working knowledge of FRA, AREMA, or transit authority standards and practices.

•

Strong communication skills and ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.

Compensation Range:

$114,544.55 - $152,726.06
