Summary of Responsibilities

At Urenco USA, the Engineer performs basic analysis and designs in support of the facility, programs, and projects. Additionally, provides engineering support in terms of performance monitoring, trending, troubleshooting, functional testing, and general configuration management control; as assigned with light supervision to independent work depending on experience.


Education and Experience


Education:�

Electrical Engineering Bachelor s degree from a four-year accredited university


Experience:

Experience working with high voltage electrical systems engineering is desirable.

Strong understanding of a Safety Conscious Work Environment, and a strong foundation of procedural awareness.


Level 1

Responsibilities: Assist in project tasks, learn company processes, and develop technical skills.

Skills: Basic engineering knowledge, problem-solving, and teamwork.


Experience: 0-2 years.


Level 2

Responsibilities: Handle more complex tasks, start managing small projects, and collaborate with other team members.

Skills: Improved technical skills, basic project management, and effective communication.


Experience: 2-4 years.


Level 3

Responsibilities: Lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to strategic planning.

Skills: Advanced technical expertise, project management, and leadership.


Experience: 4-7 years.


Senior Engineer

Responsibilities: Oversee multiple projects, provide technical guidance, and make high-level decisions.

Skills: Expert technical knowledge, strong leadership, and strategic thinking.


Experience: 7+ years.

Work Schedule: 9/80 work schedule M-F/M-Th



*

Travel Required: 10% of the time or less is required



*

Security Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA) and an L or Q level security clearance is required.

Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.

Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of <100>

Primary Functions

Develop and maintain knowledge of facility s design and licensing basis in the assigned area of responsibility.

Acquire and maintain required training and qualifications necessary to perform assigned job responsibilities.

Conduct equipment performance monitoring and analysis to support production capacity goals. (System Health)

Develop resolution of technical problems in accordance with established procedures and available vendor documents (including but not limited to: Nonconformance Evaluations, Operability Determinations, and Quality Level determinations)

Perform analysis, calculations, and develop designs in support of the assigned facility and engineering programs and projects.

Conduct field walk downs in and around the facility as needed for job duties and for general Engineering observations and adeptness.

Develop Plant Modification packages from described desired solution or from described issue.

Perform technical and quality reviews of a wide array of engineering and technical products.

Advanced experience levels also perform reviews of non-typical documents and situations.

Communicates and works effectively with other organizations to resolve technical issues and to implement engineering outputs.

Apply industrial safety and radiological safety practices in the performance of all field activities and engineering functions.

Maintain regulatory and schedule compliance for assigned tasks.

Apply sound engineering judgment and professional rigor in the performance of all analyses and assigned tasks.

Ability to take direction and function as a team member to solve a variety of engineering problems in the applicable discipline.

Understanding of basic electrical engineering principles and problem solving techniques is required..

Compensation starting at: $ 88575 - $ 146169 / year and up dependent on candidate.
