Swamper

The Swamper assists the driver safely complete jobs or tasks such as loading, unloading, and delivery of equipment.

- Works with ethics, honesty, values and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism to others.

- Takes directions from the driver.

- Acts as a spotter for the driver while on location.

- Assists in loading, securing, and unloading the truck manually.

- Helps the driver with hook-up of trailer units, and with pre/post trip inspections.

- Ensures all required safety equipment is in the unit prior to performing job.

- Assists in housekeeping tasks.

- Adheres to safe work practices during work shift.

- Performs work involving lifting, pushing, pulling, securing loads with straps and/or chains as necessary.

- Completes all required monthly safety and equipment-related trainings.

- Answers Company-issued cell phone during on call hours, in accordance with Company and safety policies.

- Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.

Experience

Required

- High School or GED equivalent.

- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, clients and management.

- Must be comfortable in an environment that is occasionally high stress.

- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
