Survey Technician (contract)

Responsible for nightly drives of Xcel Energy fleet units outfitted with Advanced Mobile Leak Detection (AMLD) Equipment.

Employee will be responsible for picking up the AMLD Vehicle, completing startup activities of leak detection equipment, documenting atmospheric conditions, driving to appropriate survey area, and completing necessary nightly survey.

All survey drives will be done after dark. A successful survey constitutes 2 passes, and each area needs to be surveyed 2-3 times. A nightly survey averages about 45 miles (inlcuding two passes).

The employee will then return the vehicle to the pickup location, plug it in to charge and end their shift. Maintain strong communication with Project Manager on success of nightly drives and any concerns from each drive.
