Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Surface Lease Analyst reporting to the Land Admin Manager/Lead Lease Analyst - Surface in Midland, TX.Â This position will provide support for the Land and Land Administration staff.Â The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills as well as an understanding of land management systems, lease analysis, accurate data entry, tracking leases and auditing data. They should also have a general understanding of geological principles, operations, reservoir engineering and basin/resource plays.

General Responsibilities:

•

Analyze various forms, including complex title, lease and contract documentation to maintain company ownership and obligations

•

Create, maintain, and update new and existing lease record information in the Land system and applications to ensure accuracy and data integrity

•

Manage a busy area of responsibility working directly with mineral and surface Land, Engineering, Geology and Accounting

•

Ensure timely and accurate payment of extensions, rentals, shut-in payments and minimum royalties for area of responsibility

•

Interpret and administer complex Texas and New Mexico surface agreement forms to ensure the administration of provisions such as unique obligations, rentals, and other key dates

•

Assist Land with special projects, data requests, due diligence and company acquisitions and divestitures

•

Utilize GIS tools to review, audit and understand details of area of responsibility

•

Perform query writing and/or create ad hoc queries utilizing QQM, or Spotfire to build data audits for consistency and accuracy

•

Add and maintain all cross references to leases and contracts

Minimum Qualifications:

•

Bachelorâ€™s degree preferred with a minimum of high school diploma

•

Minimum of 5 years working as a Lease Analyst

•

Must have Texas and New Mexico experience

•

Strongly skilled in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

•

Ability to work in a fast paced, energetic environment with the ability to effectively multitask and prioritize heavy workloads

•

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally

•

Excellent organizational, time management and leadership skills

•

Must be comfortable with collaborative problem solving

•

Team player who enjoys contributing to team goals

Preferred Qualifications

•

Must have a strong understanding of Quorum Land; adhoc query skills

•

Permian Basin experience
