AltaGas is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Surface Land Coordinator to support the development, construction, and operation of midstream infrastructure projects. This role is key to ensuring land-related activities are executed efficiently and in alignment with regulatory requirements and AltaGas’ Core Values.
- Administer and maintain surface and mineral leases, easements, and related records in the land management system.
- Coordinate land payments, vendor setup, and invoice coding to meet contractual obligations.
- Engage with internal teams, landowners, regulators, and third-party consultants to ensure accurate file management and compliance.
- Support land acquisition, divestitures, asset retirement, and project planning activities.
- Prepare and manage third-party agreements, road use agreements, and related documentation.
- Provide input for budget forecasting and reporting of surface land data.
- Respond to landowner inquiries and act as liaison between field staff, legal, accounting, and operations.
- Maintain land-related databases, including First Call and GIS shape files.
- Analyze and respond to municipal subdivision notifications.- 3+ years of experience in surface land coordination, preferably in oil & gas or midstream.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta and BC land systems, regulations, and industry practices.
- Petroleum Land Administration Certification (or similar) is an asset.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and land management software.
