The Supply Chain Supervisor (Procurement & Warehouse) is responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain functions including purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse operations. This role ensures the organization receives the best quality, service, and value when sourcing materials, while also managing the safe, efficient, and accurate handling of goods. The incumbent leads the coordination between procurement and warehouse teams to achieve operational excellence, cost savings, and on-time delivery of materials and equipment supporting both underground and surface operations.
· Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and supply chain philosophy.
· Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiations, and sourcing analyses to achieve cost reduction and ensure quality and delivery performance.
· Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and corrective action for underperforming vendors.
· Review and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
· Maintain supplier pricing databases and ensure accuracy in invoicing and cost tracking.
· Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering to forecast material requirements and support project timelines.
· Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within sourcing and procurement processes.
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, shipping, and materials handling.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through effective cycle counting, reconciliation, and ERP data management.
- Administer operational procedures for incoming/outgoing shipments and materials disposition.
- Monitor and optimize warehouse layout, safety, and workflow for efficiency and compliance.
- Coordinate with the procurement and operations teams to ensure availability of required materials, minimizing delays and shortages.
- Evaluate physical conditions of facilities and equipment to maintain operational and safety standards.
- Develop and enforce records management procedures for warehouse documentation and transaction accuracy.
- Lead and coach team members across warehouse and procurement functions to build capability and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Establish clear performance goals, conduct reviews, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Work cross-functionally to align supply chain strategies with operational, financial, and safety goals.
- Serve as a liaison between suppliers, warehouse staff, and internal departments to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
· Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in warehousing, purchasing or procurement role, required.
· Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor performance.
· Strong safety behaviors including familiarity with and adherence to all MSHA standards, required.
· Familiarity with the mining industry, strongly preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics or business, preferred.
· Prior experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 software, strongly preferred.
