Supply Chain and Logistics Manager
Kamloops, BC
Position Overview:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager is accountable for managing the efficient movement, distribution, and storage of materials and products that support Molycop’s operations and customer commitments. This role ensures that all supply chain activities are executed effectively, in alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives. This position will be based in Kamloops, BC and the successful candidate will be expected to travel regularly across Canada as required (estimated at 25%).
Responsibilities:
•Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations across Canada.
•Ensure compliance with Canadian trade regulations, customs, and safety/environmental standards.
•Manage domestic and international freight to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
•Build and maintain supplier relationships; negotiate contracts to meet quality, cost, and compliance standards.
•Lead demand planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization for Canadian operations.
•Collaborate with global teams to align supply chain strategy with business objectives.
•Lead and develop a local supply chain team to support operational excellence.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
•MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification (preferred).
•APICS CPIM / CSCP, SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional), PMP, or equivalent certification.
•Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement management, preferably within manufacturing, mining, or industrial sectors.
•Proven experience managing cross-border logistics and international supply chains.
•Strong background in supplier negotiation, inventory management, and demand planning.
•Experience negotiating rail transport contracts and managing relationships with rail service providers in Canada.
•Proficient in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and supply chain analytics tools.
•Strong understanding of Canadian import/export regulations and logistics best practices.
•Excellent leadership, team management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
•Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
Compensation and Benefits:
•Expected Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000
•Eligible for variable compensation
