Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst
Reports to: Director of Supply Chain Analytics
Position Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
Job Objective
: This position leverages expertise in optimizing supply chain data and processes to provide actionable insights which enhance performance and achieve operational goals. You will play a crucial role in the supply chain, supporting data-driven decision-making through effective dashboard reporting and management, to enable effective decision making and maintain a competitive edge.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operation.
•Conduct scenario and cost-benefit analyses on sourcing decisions to minimize COGS while maintaining contractual obligations and relationships with strategic suppliers
•Assist with presentation buildouts around Supply Chain performance & KPI reporting, for The Board, Executive Leadership, SIOP Calls, & department meetings
•Lead or participate in complex cross-functional projects, providing analyses to answer strategic questions
•Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
•Proactively identify key drivers and root causes from analysis findings, presenting them clearly and concisely
•Maintain ERP Supply Chain data field’s accuracy, by running monthly data maintenance process & reporting
•Complete ad-hoc reports, analyses, and benchmarking requests for Supply Chain leaders and project teams, ensuring a clear understanding of the audience, purpose, required detail, output, and deadlines
•Engage in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies in supply chain processes and suggesting solutions
•Work closely with procurement, cost, sourcing, branch operations, sales, and finance to ensure smooth supply chain operations
•Ability to analyze third-party data for Supply Chain synergy scenarios, and to structure & append data to our internal data source for future reporting
•Implement business process automation techniques to enhance supply chain reporting and streamline processes
•Communicate with department heads to ensure all requirements are addressed promptly
•Perform other related tasks and projects as assigned by the manager
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
•Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or a related field
•Minimum of 1 year of experience in Supply Chain Analytics or a similar role.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
•Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and VBA
•Advanced skills in Microsoft Access
•Demonstrated experience in utilizing data visualization techniques and collaborating with stakeholders to understand their requirements and recommend solutions
•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
•Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, being self-motivated and requiring limited supervision, while building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
•Continuous improvement mindset with experience in driving process optimization
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
•Ability to adapt to and learn multiple ERP systems, with a drive to learn new tools and data techniques
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or a related field
•Minimum of 1 year of experience in Supply Chain Analytics or a similar role.
•Must live within a 60 mile radius of the office
Preferred Qualifications
•Advanced in PowerBI and data visualization techniques
•Minimum of 2 years of experience with a distribution company
•Experience with inventory management software (Netstock: Sage Inventory Advisor)
•Experience with SAP ECC 6 EHP7 & Sage 100 DM2
•Exposure and involvement to a Sales & Operational Planning process
•Experience working with multiple ERP systems and standardizing all the data into one dataset for reporting
