SUMMER HELPER-STORES
STATUS: SEASONAL/TEMPORARY, HOURLY, NON-EXEMPT
POSITION FUNCTION/OBJECTIVE:
This seasonal position is designed to assist our warehouse team mid-summer to early fall, for a timeframe not to exceed three months. As Summer Help, you will assist with daily operations such as shipping and receiving, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Ensure all tools and equipment utilized are sufficient to complete the assigned Maintain accountability for all materials, equipment, and tools utilized for project completion. Always ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
•Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
•Assist with inventory counts and help maintain organized stock levels.
•Select inventory items, organize them appropriately, and prepare shipments according to specifications.
•Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment (training will be provided as needed).

•Deliver materials and supplies to various locations within the service territory, as needed.

•Promote and adhere to all safety practices and policies. Observe all traffic laws and company regulations while operating company vehicles.
•Attend training sessions as assigned and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE). Performs other related duties and assumes other responsibilities as requested or directed.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•Must be able to work in varying outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
•Physical capability to lift and move up to 75 lbs. occasionally and 20–50 lbs. regularly.
•Ability to stoop, bend, reach overhead, climb, push, pull, walk long distances, and work in awkward or confined spaces.
•Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for tool use and equipment handling.
•Must be able to hear and communicate clearly for safety and task coordination.
•Use of vehicles, computers, handheld devices, and typical warehouse or office equipment is required.
•Exposure to hazards such as working at heights, electrical risks, and radiant energy.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
•Reports to the Purchasing Manager, is also required to report to the Storekeepers when working in the field on a project. Must keep them informed on work progress, completions, and consult as needed to ensure duties are completed efficiently and effectively.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
This position is non-exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Non-exempt employees are paid on an hourly basis.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•High School diploma or equivalent certificate required.
•Must possess a valid Michigan Driver's
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
•Must demonstrate knowledge in the following: written and verbal communication, reading comprehension, judgement, decision making, time management, troubleshooting, operation and control, and equipment
•Demonstrate knowledge of material resources to ensure appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work and completion of projects.
